A unit of fineness for rayon, nylon, and silk fibers, based on a standard mass per length of 1 gram per 9,000 meters of yarn.

Pantyhose are fall under the lower denier thickness. This means that they are thinner and more delicate. It is much easier to tear a hole into pantyhose than the thicker tights.

Pantyhose have the advantage of being sheer. No matter what colour they come in they are entirely see through. They provide a great look for your legs, but they do not hide your skin.

There are many different versions of pantyhose and they are not all alike. Some pantyhose are easily torn while others are much more durable. Price does not equal durability. Sheer Energy pantyhose are highly durable and not very expensive. The denier of any pair of pantyhose effects the durability.
