Nail polish provides additional hardness to the nail it is applied to. This keeps nails from breaking and they will grow more evenly and become stronger.
Nail polish makes nails look shiny, clean, brighter and more attractive. Shiny nails are nice to look at and make hands look better. Polished nails are much cleaner, since the polish protects the nails from dirt. Both the shine and cleanliness of the nails makes them look brighter. Dull nails are not as attractive as bright shiny nails. Nice nails also make the hands they are attacted to look that much nicer.
