Bras for Men 02-13-2005 11:38 PM

Bras for men! Interesting! Whilst having physio on my right arm recently (partial muscular paralysis), my (lady) physiotherapist said "If you were a woman, I would recommend that fastening/unfastening your bra a few times, as excellent 'home' therapy" to improve the dexterity of your fingers & thumb". She then added, matter-of-factly, "It would be just as good therapy for a man, too, if they weren't so darn twitchy at the thought of putting on 'women's' clothing! It's only a piece of cloth, after all!"

Over the years, I've been recommended to wear support stockings (calf injuries), a corset (lower back injury, trapped sciatic (is that how you spell it?) nerve), & a skirt (foot/leg injury & also lower body/upper leg chafing, the opposite problem).

The bra business finally made me think the medical profession was trying to carry out SRS by 'the back door' method! Luckily, not all of these problems happened at the same time!

As for the skirt thing, although I'd regularly worn them in a semi-private way, for absolutely years (the chafe problem), I thought (possibly as others have) it would be better to invest in a Kilt. Fine! Super quality (super cost! ), but being one of those folk who likes to 'blend in' rather than make a 'fashion statement', I wasn't really prepared for some of the 'silly comments', that some of our less intelligent compatriots come out with! The other effect that surprised me was that it was extremely warm (to the point of being mildly uncomfortable) to wear, except in temperatures below (say, 50F). Not knowing anything (then) about 4 yarders, breacans, etc., I tried knee-length skirts as an alternative (cotton or denim, left-over-right fastening &, very definitely, pockets! ) To my great surprise, other than the odd quizzical look , no response, whatsoever.

I was then to see some lads (in Portugal of all places!) wearing ankle length (cargo?) skirts, which they'd apparently purchased in the 'mens' section. "Well if they can 'get away with it', so can I!", was my immediate thought (heat & trousers [even shorts!] produces sores....etc.). Now these seem to draw even less attention than the knee-length ones, especially in the winter months. Fine, sufficient warmth, total comfort & anonymity, so you ain't Crossdressing, but it looks like you have found Freedom!
