Anyhow, that's what I would do. If you really can't get used to it being on the other side I think it would be best to sell the skirt to someone else & have your seamstress make you another. To switch it around could be like remaking that part of the skirt over again in some cases. I wouldn't do this on a skirt & I am a moderatly competent sewer. Maybe others who have more experience @ the machine will say differently but I personally don't think it is worth the grief unless there is some physical reason, like a handicapped hand or something.
