Tights 10-29-2003 02:41 PM
But wait - do the girls argue about wearing men’s clothing, socks, flat shoes, even trousers! Of course they don’t. They wear what they want be it for comfort, to be noticed or just for the devilment.
Men did wear tights long before women; the standard middle age clothing in England was after all doublet and hose which in today’s terminology is dress and tights. Likewise from Roman times the dress or short skirt was a man’s garment so we have a very substantial historical background in wearing basically what we like.
Whilst personally I would not wear tights with a kilt I would not react with horror if I saw a man thus clad.
With a skirt however, tights (pantyhose) can look good.
Its up to the individual.
Cheers
