If we want to go by comfort in wearing and I mean REAL Comfort. A dress is the almost perfect garment. Little blue tunics like they wore in "The Gladiator" maybe. The old fashioned "house-dress" that women no longer wear. That would be the most comfortable garment to wear.
Hem lengths could very to allow for temperature and climate from knee-length to ankle length. Belted or not at the waist with or without pockets.
But that would be too much usurping of the old women's styles probably. Can you just imagine men wearing house dresses and the women in their worn, dirty jeans?
