Not a Metrosexual 02-20-2004 09:06 PM
The difference between a braveheart and a freestyler is that the bravehearts want to just wear kilts, while the freestylers want to wear almost anything.
Metrosexual is a term created by the media because it cannot cope with men who actually care about their appearence and wear nice clothes, while at the same time not being homosexual. This is why they try to tie it in with sexuality, when it is actually to do with taking pride in your appearence.
Permanent trouser wearers, Bravehearts, and Freestylers can all be classed as metrosexual, just as they can all look shabby and unkempt. However, if a man wears a skirt (and I include traditionally male garments such as kilts in this), he will tend to be the type of person who takes pride in his appearence, and so will be tending towards the metrosexual label.
I personally think that metrosexual is an unsuitable label. Braveheart and freestyle are labels that I wish were unnecessary, but are too ingrained in the minds of the groups of people that use them to do anything about.
Mark (who is currently tending towards the shabby and unkempt student look, rather than being sharp and snazzy)
