Fear 03-06-2004 10:00 PM

The biggest issue for men in exercising fashion freedom is fear. This fear is of the unknown. The fear that is experienced involves being judged and even made fun of by others.
The fear of the unknown can prevent a man from going out in public in a skirt or with long fingernails, or in pantyhose, or high heels, but the truth is that there is nothing to fear. I can say that from experience. I started with the same fear, but I tested the waters. I started by wearing a skirt that is nondescript in an environment that was safe. I also made sure that I had my car nearby, so that I could escape if I felt threatened or uncomfortable.
I soon discovered that my fear was unfounded. Not only was I safe but at most people asked me why I wore a skirt. I soon found that men hardly looked at me and women did double takes. I now wear a skirt and pantyhose with no fear. In fact I have walked around Harlem in New York City at 9:30 at night without fear and without any confrontations.
The fear of the unknown is powerful, but it can be overcome. It is human nature to be afraid of anything that we do not know, but exercising fashion freedom is nothing to be afraid of.
Get out there and exercise your fashion freedom!!! You will influence other men to do the same and there is nothing to fear.
