Before you laugh, Look in the Mirror 04-02-2004 01:49 PM

My very first outing in a skirt, not dressed up as a woman. Just being myself in a skirt. I don't do CD or TV anymore. I was going to the store to cash a check for funds so I could go to a Ren-fair the next day.

I wore a biege, twill, a-line skirt, with a half-slip, biege nylons and tan moccasins. I went in, cashed my check and went back out. I was concerned that someone would say something but everything in the store was fine.

Out in the parking lot an elderly lady saw me and started to point at me and laugh hysterically. Now she was wearing a purple pants-suit with a mauve, ruffled blouse and purple high heeled sandals. I looked at they way she was dressed and wondered what she had to laugh at, because I thought she should go home and look at herself in the mirror. And that is typical of the way women get away with their clothing freedoms today. They make fun of men and make men feel out of place no matter what we wear.

So why shouldn't we be free to wear whatever we want? I certainly would not wear a purple pants-suit.
