Definition of Metrosexual
Men who groom themselves in much the same way as women do. Men who are often interested in shopping. Men who are more understanding and show their emotions much more freely.

Does a man have to meet all of the criteria above to be a metrosexual?

No. A man who meets any of the points listed in the definition is a metrosexual. A man who matches any of the points in the definition already has a tendency towards the inner development that is a part of being a metrosexual.

Being a metrosexual man is a very positive change for any man. One of the biggest problems that women have had throughout history is that the common man often does not take care of his body. How so? During my childhood I heard many women complain of their husbands not cutting their toenails. Many women had to badger their husbands to get them to even style their hair.

Today, men are interested in how they look and feel. Men are more conscious of how other people see them. They want to look and feel good. Unfortunately, there are many misconceptions about these ideas, but it is a positive change for men to truly be concerned about their inner selves and outer appearance.

Men have come to realize that inner development is not just about physical strength or the appearance of physical strength. While a man may well work out, he is also more likely to eat right, use moisturizers, polish his fingernails and toenails and express his emotions.

Men are no longer allowing societal norms to control their responses to the world. They are no longer limiting themselves to the standards of the 1900s. Breaking free of these norms is allowing men to develop more fully and to be happier.
