Open Toed Sandals at Work 10-05-2004 4:34 PM
I have recently begun to wear open toed sandals all the time. I have even started wearing them to work. Not only are the more comfortable, but I noticed that I actually have feet even at work. What a novel idea!
This picture is from my office!! Those are my feet in 2 1/2" heels!! I feel taller in heels and more confident. I cannot explain to you why, but wearing heels feels great.
There are many pairs of heels designed for women that are based upon men's shoe designs. Whether these are open toed or not my experience wearing heels is that no one does more than look at my heels. I have not received any comments at all, nor have I received any negative looks.
I highly suggest that every man try on a pair of heels, whether open toed or not.
Did you know that in the 1400's when heels were invented they were for both men and women? In fact, Henry VIII wore heels in the 1500's and Napoleon in the 1800's. It is only in recent ideology that heels became a women's only item. It is time to take heels back as menswear!!!
