Some months ago I received a catalogue delivery containing an item that should have been deleted (for a female cousin).....A long Denim Skirt!......I was about to phone the company to arrange a free collection, when Curiosity got the better of me.....
I'm not in any way TV, never had interest in 'Girlie things'....I'm a big, hairy, biker-type bloke.......but here I was with this 'thing' in my hands and nobody around.....I had a shower, threaded a thick chunky leather belt & put on a Rugby shirt.....
Wow! After the difficulties of the Zip being on the wrong side etc...This thing felt so strange!... It moved with me like nothing I'd worn before.....more comfortable than Jim-Jams (not that Big, hairy, blokes wear them though!)...
I spent about 2 hours 'experimenting'....walking up and down stairs, sitting down, and generally moving around the flat....This was a TOTALLY new experience....Felt SO good!.......Needless to say, the skirt didn't get sent back!
I doubt if I'd have the confidence to wear the skirt in public, or even let people know about it (I guess this might be a first step!?)....but it has changed my opinions.....Skirts are COOL!I hope that Fashion Freedom becomes a reality....I long for the day when I can walk into the Men's department of big stores and have no feeling of worry picking off-the-shelf skirt garments (engineered for the Male body, {bigger zip on the correct side, etc} )and wearing them.....with my big, hairy, mates!!
