A brave new day 05-02-2003 10:53 AM

With the advent of the temperature reaching around 80f today I have decided to wear my Elvis sarong to work. I have been here a half hour so far only one co-worker has seen me so far. He actually is one of the ones that I suspect will have the biggest problems but we also are fairly good friends.
Soon after we met at the door to our office & walked in I decided to get whatever conversation out of the way. I reassured him that I wasn't about to have any sex changes, that I'm the same person I was yesterday just more comfortable. He replied that he thought I was wearing a towel it's no big deal. So far our conversation has been normal. just as it should be.

It just makes me wonder why the heck I haven't done this long ago. Aside from a couple of long stares from students as I walked in the hall, a flustered female coworker while she wrapped her mind around what she was seeing s she talked to me , & positive feedback from another female coworker who I knew would be supportive.
I am pretty sure I overheard one of a pair of females students say to the other. "I like it." While they were walking towards me in the hall. They definitely gave me pleasent smiles as we passed each other.
It otherwise was just another day only I was more comfortable than if I had B.G. on.
So ok, newbies & the shy alike. Go forth! Bravely skirting! The world is yours to enjoy.
