We have all been there. You desire to do something, but you are concerned about what others will think. You are worried about what members of your family will say. You are concerned with how others will treat you once they know that you do something taboo.
Fret no more!! The world is not half as concerned as you think it is. You may run into problems in a work environment, but the general public will hardly notice the change. Just explaining to them that men have only worn pants for four hundred years can console even families. Once you tell people that men have worn high heels, stockings, earrings and the list goes on, the people accept you and your new look.
The experiences of men vary, but very few are negative. The negative responses come only from individuals that have issues they are dealing with. There will be very few negative responses waiting for you and if every man who desires fashion freedom expresses himself through fashion, the remaining men will be in the minority.
